Why work with Meadow?

We provide the best, personalized service out there with great venues and customized options, all for less than a traditional funeral home. If you're looking for just a direct cremation, we aren't the cheapest service out there (and we're happy to point you their way) but we offer a trusted, personalized service at high quality and great value.

Why do people pre-plan?



The three most common reasons we see for pre-planning are:
- Peace of mind - for yourself and your family
- Financial planning and protection against inflation
- Full decision making for your final goodbye - exactly the way you’d like.
We most often work with families who have recently had someone pass away without a plan - and seen the financial and emotional distress that caused for others. Planning ahead allows you to avoid this issue.

If I prepay, what happens when I pass?



When the time comes, your loved ones can contact our Care team at (310) 582-5086. Our care concierge will be able to walk them through the process, answer any questions, and bring you into our care.

What does "price lock guarantee" mean?



It means that we guarantee that the price you pay will cover all services purchased. Even if you buy your plan 10+ years in advance, your family will not need to pay anything additional at your time of passing. You are locked into your price.

Do I have to pay upfront?



You can either pay in full or opt for a 3 or 5-year payment plan, paid monthly. Our payment plans start at $32/month. We are happy to give you a free quote.

What payment methods do you accept?



Payment plans can be set up using a bank account or credit card with no additional fees. If you prefer to pay in full, you may do so via bank transfer or check with no fee. Credit card payments for upfront payments are also accepted, with a 3% processing fee applied.

How much do the payment plans cost?



Plans are either prepaid or paid over time via a monthly payment plan. Payment plans start as low as $32/month. The cost of the payment plan will depend on your age, the length of the plan selected (3 or 5 years) and size of your upfront deposit, if you chose to make one. We’re happy to give you a free quote anytime.

How do the payment plans work?



If you choose a payment plan, part of your monthly payment goes towards your cremation and part goes towards the third party insurance company. The insurance company charges an insurance premium which is separate from what Meadow charges for cremation. When paid off in full, payment plans will be more expensive than single pay due to the insurance premiums. The insurance premiums ensure that, unless a stated exclusion applies, your preneed arrangements will still be covered if you pass away before you’ve fully paid off a payment plan.

Can I pay off the payment plan early?



You can pay off a payment plan early with no penalty or additional fees applied. The Early Payoff amount will be different depending on your exact plan and when you chose to pay off the balance. You can contact National Guardian Life at any time to get a quote.

Can I buy this for someone else?



Yes, you are able to purchase a policy on behalf of another family member. For payment plans, the insured’s signature is required in order to receive full coverage. Otherwise a modified coverage policy will be issued. Our pre-planning team can walk you through the details and help determine what’s best for your situation. If you hold Power of Attorney, you may take out a policy on behalf of the individual for whom you have POA.

What if you go out of business?



We don’t plan to go anywhere anytime soon. But you can rest assured that per state law, the funds for your prepaid funeral plan will be securely invested with a nationally regulated insurance agency, so that if we were to go out of business, the funds in your plan can be transferred to another provider who will honor the contract as written.

Do you offer burials?



Unfortunately, no. At this time we only offer cremations, which is what the majority of Americans opt for.

Are you able to collect any time?



Yes we can help anytime day or night - our team is standing by 24/7. Sometimes timing will be dictated by the location of collection, for example certain hospitals will have dedicated collection times that we must adhere to. Needless to say, we will always work with you to collect as soon you are ready, and will keep you informed.
