A licensed funeral director will complete the required documentation to proceed with the cremation. Once the cremation is complete, the remains will be carefully returned to you in a tasteful wooden urn. We will keep you updated so that you are informed every step of the way.
We aren’t the cheapest service out there (and are happy to point you their way). Instead, we offer a fairly priced, high quality, and personalized service. Additionally, we are the only direct cremation provider who can also help plan a personalized memorial service. We do this all without any upsells, and without any in-person meetings.
The first thing to do is contact our Care team at 310-582-5086. Your Care concierge will be able to walk you through the process, answer any questions, and collect the brief information needed for us to get started. Our team will do everything they can to make the funeral arrangement process as simple as possible. Once we have those initial details, we'll transfer your loved one into our care and begin the process of arranging a cremation. We'll guide you through the paperwork that must be completed, and keep you constantly informed of what's happening with your loved one. In parallel, we can work with you to plan the right memorial for your loved one.
We collect payment for cremation on the day pickup is scheduled. For the memorial service, payment is collected once you have confirmed the date and venue. We do not offer pre-payment at this time.
Unfortunately, no. At this time we only offer cremations, which is what the majority of Americans opt for.
Yes we can help anytime day or night - our team is standing by 24/7. Sometimes timing will be dictated by the location of collection, for example certain hospitals will have dedicated collection times that we must adhere to. Needless to say, we will always work with you to collect as soon you are ready, and will keep you informed.
We have a different business model to traditional funeral homes. Traditional funeral homes have high fixed operating costs - with physical funeral parlors to manage and maintain. Meadow is different. By offering simple services that can be arranged online or over the phone, we can provide high quality services at affordable prices.
We take this responsibility very seriously, and the process to ensure this happens is closely regulated. Your loved one’s paperwork accompanies them throughout their care journey and is checked multiple times to ensure their identity is recorded correctly.
It typically takes 10-14 days. Your arranger will keep you posted throughout the process.
