Brian Keith Jacobs, a United States Army veteran and beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed on to his heavenly home on October 12, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones. After a long and fierce years-long battle with cancer, he is no longer in pain and is now in the loving presence of our Lord.

Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and a longtime resident of West Columbia, South Carolina, Brian traveled the world, first through his service in the Army and later through his work with civilian companies. He loved traveling and exploring new places, especially when he could share those experiences with his family. Throughout his years with cancer, he continued to make cherished memories with the people he loved.

Brian will be remembered for his kindness, his sharp sense of humor, and his deep commitment to family and friends. Above all, he treasured being a father. If asked about his greatest accomplishment, he would point without hesitation to his two children, Matthew and Erin.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Jacobs, and his mother, Linda Yergey Jacobs. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Jacobs; his son, Matthew Jacobs; his daughter, Erin Fink; his sister, Daryl Leigh Anthony, and her husband, Rick, and their daughters, Regan Gross and Grayson Anthony; and his brother, Jeff Jacobs, and his wife, Dana.

Having so many of those dear to Brian beside him in his final days was a precious gift that his family will never forget. They are deeply grateful to the friends and family who have surrounded them with love, prayers, and support, and who continue to walk alongside them through this difficult time.

A memorial service and interment near his parents are planned for spring 2027 in West Columbia, South Carolina. Details will be shared when arrangements are complete.

Though their hearts are broken, Brian’s family finds peace in his faith and freedom from pain, and comfort in the love he gave so generously.
