Cecil Ann Melgar was born in Los Angeles, California, on February 4, 1942, and passed away in Arlington, Washington, on September 16, 2026.

Cecil was a woman who deeply cherished her family. Throughout her life, she worked in many different roles, from health care to caring for her own family. She took great pride in looking after the people she loved, and her family was one of the most important parts of her life.

Cecil enjoyed crocheting and reading until she was no longer able to do so. She was also someone you could always depend on for a listening ear. She loved loudly and openly, sharing  her love with those around her in a way that made her presence meaningful to the people in her life.

Cecil is survived by her son, Ken Henry, and his wife, Laura; her grandchildren, Athena Henry and Blayne Henry; her great-grandson, Daniel; and her sister, Kaye January, and her husband, Rick.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence "Larry" Kail.

Cecil will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her caring nature, and the comfort she offered to others simply by being someone they could count on. Her love and the care she gave to those closest to her will remain part of the memories her family carries forward.
