Janet Tew, born on July 17, 1950, in Los Angeles, California, passed away on August 10, 2025, in Santa Monica.

Janet was known for her nutty, erratic, yet irresistibly chatty spirit, balanced by a quiet stoicism that carried her through life’s challenges. She had a passion for gardening, where she found both joy and peace, and she often brought that same nurturing spirit to those around her.

Of all her accomplishments, Janet was most proud of being a mother. She considered her children her greatest gift, and her love for family was at the heart of everything she did.

She is survived by her daughter, Shaina Tew, and son-in-law, Joseph J. Henriques; her son, Kenneth Scott Tew; her grandsons, Kenneth Scott Tew Jr. and Matthew Joseph Henriques; and her sister, Georgette Skolnick.

Janet’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
