Obituary

Joshua Barry, 42, of San Diego, California, passed away on August 27, 2025. He was born on June 21, 1983, in Hamilton, Bermuda, to Barbara Ives and Jeremiah Barry.

Joshua worked as a barber and was very proud of his skills, building a long list of happy clients who trusted him for his talent and care. He was also a passionate painter who found joy and expression in his artwork. Both his barbering and his painting brought him pride and fulfillment.

Josh was proud to have participated in the AIDS Life Cycle event, a 500mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and raising over $10,000 for Aids Research. 

He was known for his great sense of humor, which brought laughter to those around him. 

Joshua will be remembered as a good friend, a loving brother and uncle, and a caring son.

He is survived by his brother Elijah Barry; his sisters Elizabeth Singer and Sunny Olais; his niece Jade Olais; his nephews Julian Olais and Axel Singer; and his parents Barbara Ives and Jeremiah Barry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Bay View Park in Coronado at a date to be determined.

Joshua’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
