Obituary

Margaret Elaine Wallace Jackson, 72, passed away after a brief illness.  She died at her Inglewood, California home on August 22, 2025 surrounded by family, friends, and her amazing caretaker, Lisa Nash.  Margaret was born on September 6, 1952 to Albert Ernest Wallace and Martha Jane Morrison.  She was famous for being the second of seven siblings, for her delicious sweet potato pies, cute Easter baskets, her love of horses and equestrian events, as well as her long hidden but inherited talent for painting boldly and beautifully. 

She had an interesting and accomplished work life which started as a retail professional at Grodin's men's clothing store, a teller and bank manager at Bank of America, a 911 dispatcher at the Hollywood Division of LA's Police Department, and ended by retiring from LA's Department of Water and Power in 2021 as a much loved customer solution specialist.  

Margaret, was survived by her two sons: Devon (48) and Kevin (34), her three grandchildren: Micaiah (13), Kayden (11), and Bella (3), her four sisters: Evelyn (75), Marilyn (72), Hilda (70), Ramona (61), and Alicia (60), her 20 nieces/nephews and her 26 great-nieces/nephews, and her many cousins with principally the following last names: Quincey, Craddock, Northern, Knox, and Simms.  

She was predeceased by her parents, her ex-husband Richard, her grandson Devonte, and her second son's father William "Bill" Brooks.  

Margaret was cremated on September 2nd.  Although a Christian, she didn't wish to have any church services.  She preferred her loved ones celebrate her life and home going to be with Jesus together at her home.  Her celebration of life and repast will be determined at a later date.  

Margaret will be missed and loved by all those who knew her.
