His biggest pride and joy was his son, Syd. And he loved his partner, Elli.

He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Amber Strickland, and his younger brother, James Albert Butler III, both of Florida; his grandfather, Charles W. Hoskinson; his aunt, Erica Tondre; his uncle, Lee Davis; and his aunt Sue, whom he never had the chance to meet. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. It is the family’s hope that one day, as his son grows, they will all have the opportunity to know and connect with him.

So please don't grieve for me, for now I am where the universe has laid for me. I could not stay here another day to laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way.

Always remember the joy, friendship, shared stories, laughter, and play. Ah yes, these things too I will miss.

Do not be burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you all the sunshine and rainbows of tomorrow.

My life's been full. Perhaps my time here seemed all too brief. DON'T lengthen now with undue grief.

The universe wants me now. Gods have set me free. Whenever you're missing me, look up to Saturn and talk to me.

I'm finally free, no more earthly burdens, sickness, and grief. I'm finally free.

REST EASY, SWEET BABY BOY.
