Robert Jay Denenberg, lovingly known as Bob, was born in Philadelphia on May 31, 1941, and passed away in Palos Verdes, California, on October 14, 2026. Bob lived a life filled with adventure, laughter, achievement, and love for his family, animals, and the world around him.

An award-winning athlete, Bob was passionate about wrestling, football, and tennis, and he ran several marathons. He was also a lifeguard, an excellent swimmer, and a skilled scuba diver who shared his love of the water with his wife, Anneliese. A talented sailor, Bob owned boats on the Chesapeake Bay and along the Jersey Shore, sailing up and down the Atlantic coast.  Bob could make anyone laugh, and his upbeat personality and hilarious stories often sent those around him into tears of laughter.

Bob was an accomplished businessman and co-owner of Remington Lighting with his late brother, Fred Denenberg. He ran the company's manufacturing division for more than 40 years, and his dedication to his company was an important part of his life and career.

Later in life, Bob discovered a passion for woodworking. Using reclaimed wood he found in the forests of the Northwest, he created beautiful clocks and tables that he sold at art shows throughout the Los Angeles area. He also enjoyed reading, classical music, and opera. His love for animals, especially his dogs and horses, was another important part of his life.

Above all, Bob treasured his family, and the life he and his beloved wife Anneliese built together. They traveled around the world, moved to different places, and shared countless adventures. He was very proud of his daughters, Andrea and Stephanie, and his grandchildren, Lilith and Danny, and always sought to make family the heart of his life.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Dan Denenberg; his mother, Anita Denenberg; and his brothers, Fred Denenberg and Alan Pinetree. He is survived by his wife, Anneliese Denenberg; his daughters, Andrea Denenberg and Stephanie Humphrey; his son-in-law, Ted Humphrey; and his grandchildren, Danny Humphrey and Lilith Humphrey.

Bob will be remembered as a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather. The adventures he shared, the laughter he brought, and the life he built with his family will remain treasured memories for all who knew and loved him.
