Tina Elizabeth Reaume, 69, of Port Angeles, Washington, passed away on October 20, 2026, in Seattle.

Born in Port Angeles to Emmett and Elizabeth “Betty” Reaume, Tina grew up at Reaume Ranch in Beaver, Washington, and spent most of her life on the Olympic Peninsula. She was an enrolled member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indian Tribe.

Tina was an artist and a free spirit. She spoke her mind, cared deeply about her beliefs, and loved painting, beadwork, and sewing. Curious about how things were made, she often declared, “I can make that so much better!” Then she would set to work, pouring her imagination and energy into one project after another.

She loved movies, music, and the arts, passing that appreciation on to her children. Humphrey Bogart and Tom Selleck remained favorites, and she had begun learning French.

Her garden was her “Wonderland,” a place she spent countless hours creating. Her annual garden parties featured a different theme each year, with backdrops she painted herself and guests dressed for the occasion. She prepared food from scratch and set out her fine china among the flowers. Her daughter’s band provided the music as friends gathered for evenings of laughter, homemade food, and good company.

Tina had a keen eye for fine china and secondhand treasures. When her children, family, and friends visited, she delighted in cooking for them, using her beautiful dishes, and showing off her latest finds. Her treasures were meant to be enjoyed.

Animals held a special place in Tina’s life, especially her dog, Ellie, and her horse, Emmy, whom she had known since birth. She also built little insulated houses to keep her cats warm and safe.

Tina is survived by her partner, Jeff Hennum; her mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Reaume; her children, Trevor Kernes and his wife, Chantell, Brenton Kernes and his wife, Athena, and Stephanie Doenges and her husband, Jess; and her six grandchildren, Jordan Kernes, Brandon Kernes, Austin Kernes, Ethan Kernes, Brogen Kernes, and Dylan Alejo. She is also survived by her brothers, Christian “Crick” Reaume, Raoul Reaume, and Justin Reaume.

She was preceded in death by her father, Emmett Reaume, and her brothers, Louis Reaume and Andrew Reaume.

Her family and friends will remember her in the garden, eager to share something she had made or found and to make an occasion out of being together. Her children will continue to feel her love in the deeply personal gifts she spent months, sometimes years, creating and collecting for them.
