Agripino Ortiz Sepulveda passed away peacefully of natural causes on September 25, 2025, in Los Angeles, California. He was born on October 25, 1935, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico.

Agripino lived a full and meaningful life, defined by his love for music, family, and hard work. He was a quiet man with a strong presence who found joy in simple pleasures and meaningful connections.

Music was one of his greatest passions. He loved playing both the cuatro and the guitar. He also had a deep appreciation for Puerto Rican music and culture, often spending his time watching movies and listening to his favorite tunes.

Agripino was dedicated to his craft as an accountant and worked in that profession throughout his life. Outside of work, he loved hands-on projects. Whether building or remodeling parts of his home, crafting his own cuatro instrument, or tending to his fruit and vegetable garden, he took great pride in creating and improving with his own two hands.

He loved good food, especially shrimp, pork rinds, and lechon, and enjoyed sharing meals with those he loved. Above all else, Agripino valued family. He made it a priority to ensure that everyone was well cared for and that the family remained close and connected.

He is survived by his wife Irma Velez Vega; his children Lillian Ortiz-Fernandez and husband Ray Fernandez, Maritza Ortiz, Javier Ortiz and wife Michelle; and his grandchildren Nicole Marie de la Cruz, Michael Nicholas de la Cruz, Raymond Fernandez Jr., Gabriel Andres Fernandez, Isabella Lilly Fernandez, Daniella Renee Ortiz, and Oscar Javier Ortiz. He is also survived by his sisters Candida Ortiz and Carmen Ortiz.

Funeral services will be announced. Interment will take place at Cementerio Porta Coeli, 50 Avenida Cementerio Nacional, Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. You may be gone from our sight, but you will live forever in our hearts.
