Al passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California, surrounded by family and love. He was 83 years old.

Born in Ogilvie, Minnesota, Al was proud of his small farm-town roots and carried that pride with him throughout his life. He believed in working hard, keeping things simple, and always showing up for the good times. When he did, he made sure they were memorable.

Al was known for his infectious laugh, his endless supply of jokes (some truly terrible, most unforgettable), and his gift for storytelling. He delighted in taking family out to dinner, savoring a good glass of wine, and making people laugh, whether at the Hollywood Bowl, in the theater, or around the dinner table. He lived for moments that brought joy, and he made sure others felt it too.

He is survived by his siblings Roger, Mel and his wife Sue, Nancy, Richard and his wife Nita, and Mavis and her husband Greg. He is also survived by their children Kristi, Dean, Jane, Lori, Peggy, Audri, Anna, Angie, Aaron, Chris, William, Danny, Kathleen, Pamela, Denise, Marcy, Kim, and Doug, as well as by his daughter Alison, who, along with many family members, will miss his humor, his stories, and the way he lit up when the wine was poured and the laughter began.

Al was preceded in death by his sister Kay Jones, his brothers-in-law Jerry Jones and Marlen “Pug” Black, and his mother Hilda Blowers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 26 in Milaca, Minnesota, with an intimate gathering of family and close friends. For all who wish to honor Al, the service will also be live streamed. Details and the link can be found on his Ever Loved memorial page (Visit Mr. Alden "Al" James Blowers's Memorial Website), where we invite everyone near and far to share memories, stories, photos, or videos in celebration of his life.

In lieu of flowers, please raise a glass, tell a joke, and remember Al the way he lived: full of laughter, pride, and a good meal shared.
