Alice Newby Dodson passed away on August 2, 2026, in Mesquite, Texas. She was born on July 7, 1959, in Dallas, Texas.

Alice retired from office work and later enjoyed working as a school crossing guard. She loved listening to music and found joy in helping others whenever she could.

She will be remembered as a loving and kind person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. One of her greatest joys was being a Memaw to her three grandchildren, Jayden, Lennox, and Douglas. Her family was a source of great pride, and she cherished the time she spent with them.

Alice would want to be remembered for the love she shared and for the many ways she cared for others throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Dodson; her son, Brad Dodson; and her three beloved grandchildren, Jayden, Lennox, and Douglas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirk Dodson.

Alice will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
