Ann Louise Capozza, 85, passed away on July 20, 2026. She was born June 10, 1941, in Ravenna, Ohio, to Roy and Marion Yontz.

Ann met the love of her life, Anthony (Tony) Capozza, at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, while he was in flight training. The two were married on May 16, 1962, beginning a marriage and a life together that would span 64 years.

Ann devoted herself fully to her family, raising five children — Michael, Laurie, Steven, Amy Beth, and Jennifer — as a stay-at-home mother. Despite the full days of caring for a growing family, she pursued and earned her bachelor's degree from San Jose State University, proving that her determination was every bit as strong as her devotion. She built a warm and loving home, one that would go on to hold not only her own children but, in time, 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each of whom she filled with memories they will carry for the rest of their lives.

Ann's hands were rarely idle. She had a deep love of gardening and could always be found tending to her houseplants, nurturing them the same way she nurtured everyone around her. Above all, she loved caring for children — her own, her grandchildren, and anyone lucky enough to be welcomed into her home.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Marion Yontz, and her three brothers, Karl, Fred, and David.

She is survived by her husband, Tony; her children, Michael, Laurie, Steven, Amy Beth, and Jennifer and spouses; her 19 grandchildren; and her two great-grandchildren, all of whom were shaped by her love.

Ann Louise Capozza gave everything to her family — her time, her patience, her wisdom, and her heart. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a nurturing grandmother, and a woman whose quiet strength held a family of many together for generations.
