Obituary

Anthony Williams passed away at the age of 57 years old on April 30th, 2026. He was born to Lulu Payne Williams and Willie Williams, in Seattle Washington on May 22nd, 1968. He grew up in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle, where he attended Wing Luke Elementary School, Denny Middle School, and Rainier Beach High School, before graduating from Renton High School. After high school he attended Seattle Community College, where he met his wife, Amy Pierce, and then the University of Washington.

Anthony found a passion for computers at a young age that led him to web development and then his long career in Enterprise and Cyber Security consulting. He loved learning and sharing his knowledge, and despite not really liking public speaking, he found himself teaching and mentoring students in cyber security all over the world. He was also an avid sports fan and loved watching and playing a variety of sports. Anthony raised four children, Malcolm Benton, Justin Battle, Keone Benton, and Marcus Williams.

Anthony is predeceased by his parents, and his eldest brother, Gregory, and his nephew Richie (Gregory’s son).

He is survived by his wife, Amy, his sons Malcolm, Justin, and Marcus and his daughter Kyo,  as well as his brother Carl, sister-in-law Ethel, his sister Darlene, nieces Sharmaine and LaTasha, and nephews Terrez, Carlos and Keiondre, as well as many great nieces and nephews. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

A memorial for Anthony’s life will be held in the Forest Room at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd St, Federal Way, WA 98003. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, where Anthony received many years of life-extending care.
