Barbara Jean Wells was born on July 24, 1957, in Aberdeen, Grays Harbor County, Washington, and passed away on May 16, 2026, in Renton, Washington.
Barbara was a lifelong Catholic who was known for her social nature, spiritual faith, kindness, loving heart, and great sense of humor. She deeply cared for her family and friends and enjoyed sewing, and genealogy.
Throughout her career, Barbara worked at Grays Harbor Title, later serving in administrative roles with moving companies in Seattle and Tacoma, and eventually worked as a project manager with the Port of Seattle.
Barbara was proud of her heritage and took great pride in enrolling herself and family members in their Native American tribe. She never married or had children, but she devoted herself to caring for those she loved.
She had many interests and accomplishments throughout her life. Barbara was a self-taught majorette, baton twirler, and fire baton twirler, and she performed as a majorette with her school band during parades and sporting events. She learned tap dancing and participated in several public dance competitions. She was also a proficient clarinet player and enjoyed both jazz and rock music.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Dan Wells and his wife, Robin; cousins Wayne Warjonen and his son, Joey, Kentt Cooper, Nick Cooper, Karmann Cooper, and several other cousins; as well as her dear friend, Jolene Baines, and her family.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Anna Wells, who passed away in 1979, and her father, Eugene Wells, who passed away on April 4, 1988.
Barbara would want to be remembered as a caring, kind, loving, and giving person. She will be remembered by those whose lives she touched through her friendship, generosity, and devotion to family.
No services will be held.
