Obituary

Betty, age 95, of Lakewood Village Texas, peacefully entered eternal rest at home surrounded by family on Thursday, September 24, 2026.  Betty was born July 2, 1931 to Edward and Frieda (Pehl) Sacker.

Betty will best be remembered for her crafty ways.  When she was younger, she would refinish and/or reupholster furniture.  She brought so many pieces of furniture back to life.  She was also a seamstress and crocheter.  She found a stuffed puppy pattern in a magazine and made over 500 plush puppies in various colored fur to give away.  Betty loved crocheting afghans, dollies, and crafts.  Making Christmas ornaments was her favorite craft later in life.  If she got an idea, she would make it!

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Frieda Sacker; sisters Dorothea Meier and Caroline Ontjes; brother Nathan Sacker; brother-in-law’s Wesley Meier and Gerald Ontjes; and special friend Ted Moskonas.

Betty is survived by two daughters:  Lanita (Frank) of Lakewood Village Texas; and Lacinda Pangburn of Mauston Wisconsin. Besides her children, Betty is survived by 3 grandchildren: Gena Semrow; Andrew (Jamie) Pangburn; and Christopher (Lilah) Jaromin.  Betty is also survived by six great-grandchildren:  Rowan and Harrison Semrow; Dylan, Devan, and Dalton Pangburn; and Shylah Jaromin.  Betty is also survived by sister-in-law Shirley Sacker.
