Brenda Joyce Cossey passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, at the age of 70 and surrounded by love.

Brenda had a big heart for her family. She was survived by her 3 daughters (Cynthia, Misty and Nicole) , 3 granddaughters (Vanessa, Desiree and Gianna) and 8 great-grandchildren (Matthew, Legend, Aziah, Ahlani, Isaac, Grace, James and Luke). She had 6 siblings (Linda, Donna, Barbara, Gloria, Larry and Gary).

She was the definition of a strong woman, all the way to the end. She was funny and kind in ways that people didn't fully know, see or understand. Although, she had a kind heart she wouldn’t hesitate to protect the ones she loved. She worked hard her whole life. Dementia took so much from her but her body still wanted to move. She danced and sang until she couldn’t anymore. That joy was the last thing to leave.

She passed away peacefully, pain-free and in her own bed. After 70yrs of hard work and always putting others first, she deserved that peace in her final exhale.
