She was known for her larger-than-life personality, her ability to make people laugh, and the deep love she carried for her family and friends. Strong-willed and stubborn in the best ways, Carolyn faced life with resilience while remaining thoughtful, kind, and generous to everyone around her.

She worked as a software engineer. Outside of work, Carolyn found joy in gardening, reading, and shopping for gardening accessories.

Carolyn had a rare ability to connect with people. Whether through laughter, conversation, or acts of kindness, she made others feel valued and cared for. Those who loved her knew her as someone who gave far more than she ever expected in return.

She is survived by her loving husband, George T. Hanks III; her daughters, Monica S. Fripp and Tashiana M. Kassas-Naboulsi; her sister, Betty Stovall; and her brother, Daris Coleman.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Coleman, and her mother, Luellen Coleman.

Carolyn will be remembered for her fierce love, her generous spirit, her unforgettable sense of humor, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
