Catherine Ann Herrington
Obituary

Catherine Herrington was born on October 26, 1942, in York, Pennsylvania, to the late Alfonso and Victoria Mingora (Messina). She passed away on February 28, 2026, in Lancaster, California, of natural causes.

Catherine graduated from York Catholic High School and went on to live a life centered around her family, who were always her number one priority.

She was known as the sweetest woman you could ever meet. Catherine always made time for others and loved sharing stories of her past. 

Catherine was proud of her role as Grand Regent in the Women of the Moose, where she created and participated in many holiday events and shows that brought people together and created lasting memories.

She had a special love for cooking and will be remembered for the meals she shared with others, especially her sauce and Italian cookies.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Karen Darr; her son-in-law, Joseph Darr; her son-in-law, Patrick Sheehan; her granddaughter, Mikayla Darr; her grandson, Michael Darr; her stepson JC,  and her great-granddaughter, Jayla Browning.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Herrington; her daughter, Victoria Sheehan; and her son, Robert Hayden Stauffer Jr.

Catherine will be remembered for her kindness, her stories, and the love she gave so freely to her family and all who knew her.
