Cecil “Roy” Powers, 63, was born on January 22, 1963, in Columbia, South Carolina, and passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2026, in Huntington Beach, California.

Roy found joy in the outdoors and in life’s quieter moments. He loved hiking, camping, and spending time on his bicycle. He had a creative spirit and enjoyed writing, drawing, and painting. Above all, Roy had a deep love for animals—especially his beloved cat, Lily and lived as a devoted vegan for over 30 years.

He was a man of quiet strength, kind, stoic, and dependable. His presence brought comfort and steadiness to those around him, and his wit brought light into everyday moments.

One of Roy’s proudest accomplishments was his son, Trevor, and earning his bachelor’s degree in economics from California State University, Fullerton.

Roy shared a deep and lasting love with his wife, Lisa, who was truly the love of his life.

He is survived by his mother, Martha “Molly” Powers; his loving wife, Lisa Powers; his brothers, Wade Powers (Lawanna) and Mike Powers; his son, Trevor Powers (Leah); his stepson, Neal Taylor (Katelyn); his stepdaughter, Kelley Goodlett; his grandchildren, Jace Goodlett, Kennedy Taylor, Koen Taylor, Kypton Taylor, and Kirra; and his cherished cat, Lily.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Powers II.

Roy will be remembered for his quiet strength, his gentle heart, and the love he gave so freely to his family and to animals. He leaves behind more than memories, he leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and the way he made people feel.

His life will continue to be honored in the way we love, support one another, and carry his kindness forward every day.
