Obituary

Charles J. Ferderber II, the son of Colonel Charles J. Ferderber and Elizabeth Mary Gallagher was born at Fort Riley, Kansas on July 6, 1950.

The first of three children, he grew up an “Army Brat.” C.J. attended four colleges, finally completing his degree at Columbia University in New York City.  After residing in New York City for three years, he moved to Los Angeles, CA. He completed courses to become a hair stylist and worked for Vidal Sassoon, Elizabeth Arden and finally at Umberto’s in Beverly Hills. Harper’s Bazaar voted C.J. in the top three hair colorists in the United States.

C.J. is survived by his brother Scott Ferderber and his wife Cindy, sister Missy Reising and her husband Tony, niece Kathleen Harrison and her husband Mitchell, nephew Quinn Ferderber and his wife Haley, along with cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Mitzi Ferderber, nephew Evan Ferderber and niece Allison Reising.

A celebration of life is planned for the family at a later date. The family is grateful for your thoughts and prayers.
