Cheryl Maupin was a woman whose love was fierce, her humor unmistakable, and her generosity boundless. She passed away after a courageous battle with aggressive cancer, surrounded by love and carried by faith.
Cheryl had a gift for making people feel seen. She showed up — fully, and with her whole heart — for the people she loved. Whether through laughter, practical help, or quiet encouragement, she made it her mission to spread joy and care for others.
She was deeply devoted to her family and took great pride in being a mother and grandmother, delighting in time spent with her children and her beloved grandson and granddaughter. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family — to friends, her church community, and anyone who needed encouragement, guidance, or a reminder that they mattered.
Cheryl’s faith was a steady anchor throughout her life, and especially during her illness. Even in difficult moments, she held onto hope, gratitude, and trust, leaving a lasting example of strength and grace for those walking beside her.
She will be remembered for her quick wit, her generous spirit, her endless energy, and the way she made life brighter simply by being in it. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
A scattering at sea will be held to honor Cheryl’s life and spirit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Restored Church LA, supporting the opening of a new church location in the San Fernando Valley.
