Crystal Joanne Gutierrez, CJ, aged 27 of Inglewood, California, passed away on November 3rd, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a two-year battle with cancer.
CJ was born on August 20, 1998, in Los Angeles, California to Nicole and Hector Gutierrez. CJ was best known for her quirkiness, humor, beauty and grace. CJ found great joy in caring for animals and, in particular, her birds. CJ was also extremely bright and was rapidly ascending the corporate ladder at her place of work. A sharp, empathetic, and insightful thinker, CJ consistently spoke out on matters of social justice.
CJ is survived by her mother, Nicole Gutierrez and father, Hector Gutierrez and her siblings, older brother Vince Gutierrez, younger sister Lauren Gutierrez, and younger brother Nick Gutierrez.
A memorial service is planned for a later date, and the family will notify friends and family when details are confirmed.
