He would want to be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Henrietta Dorine Grant.

“Darnell Clayton will be missed. No more pain or troubles will he have as he is now resting in God’s presence. R.I.P. nephew. Love, Auntie Lorraine.”

“Darnell isn’t like anyone I’ve met

He was different, and he’s someone I’ll never forget

He wasn’t hard to understand

I would know he was my best friend

Darnell was different, and special

He was also stubborn, but gentle

In my life, he made a huge impact

He was the type of friend that would have your back

He was talented, and he love to skateboard

Thank you Lord

For putting Darnell in my life

He was truly a handsome guy

Darnell was my other half

I’m going to miss his laugh

He had a smile that was so bright

Darnell would always tell me that everything will be alright

Whenever we were together I felt safe

And what I admired most,

was that he was brave

And nothing, or anyone made him afraid

Darnell was strong

Oh boy did he hate to be wrong

But he was the most genuine guy I’ve ever known

With Darnell by my side, I was never alone

He was like a brother I never had

Being best friends was never the plan

Didn’t know soon it would end, not like this.

Darnell you will forever be loved and missed

The promise we made, when we were fourteen

Just know you will always have a best friend in me

And I meant what I said

You will FOREVER be my best friend

I love you forever

Until we meet again

Yours truly - Brianna”

Darnell’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
