David Michael Peabody was born on June 14, 1966, in Lansing, Michigan, and passed away on March 4, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, after a battle with cancer.

David worked as a Senior Systems Engineer with Lumen and was known for his intelligence and dedication. Beyond his work, he found great joy in playing bass guitar in the worship band at church, traveling, and working on puzzles.

He had a great sense of humor, a quiet wit, and a thoughtful nature that made him easy to be around. His faith was an important part of his life, and he used his musical gifts to glorify the Lord through worship and singing.

David married his wife, Kerry, in 1988, a relationship he deeply valued. Together they built a family, welcoming their son Anthony in 1994 and their daughter Megan in 1997. He cherished traveling with his wife and, in 2024, they made the move to Texas together.

He would want to be remembered as someone who loved Jesus and loved music.

He is survived by his spouse, Kerry Fox Peabody; his son, Anthony Peabody; his daughter, Megan Vowles; his son-in-law, Jack Vowles; his mother, Patricia Peabody; his brother, Marc Peabody; and his in-laws, William and Barbara Fox.

He was preceded in death by his father, David W. Peabody, and his sister, Lisa Peabody VanValin.

A memorial service will be held at Ferndale Free Methodist Church in Ferndale, Michigan, on April 18 at 11:00 AM.
