Deborah Lynn McDonald, 66, died unexpectedly on June 5th in Barstow, California while on a bucket-list road trip with her husband, Bill, and their loving dogs, Ophi and Posh.
Deb was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Kay Chase in 2006. She leaves behind her husband, Bill of Arlington, VA; her father, Walter Joe Chase and his wife, Susan, of Annapolis, MD; two brothers, Allan Chase, of Ada, Oklahoma, Darin Ken Chase, of Severna Park, MD; 6 step-children; two adored granddaughters, Ella Hodges and Sapphire McDonald; two nephews, Abel Chase, of Philadelphia, Tyler Chase, of Severna Park, MD, a grandniece, Scarlett Chase; and numerous cousins and extended family.
Deb was born on June 12, 1959, in Stillwater, OK, a member of the Chickasaw Native American tribe. She later moved with her family to places like Houston, TX; Minneapolis, MN; Oak Ridge, TN; Geneva, Switzerland, where she attended College du Leman. Deb attended University of MN. Deb graduated with a BA degree from DePaul University in Chicago. After her studies, she briefly lived in MD and Connecticut, and then settled in VA, where she was employed by Information Sciences Corporation. For the last 15 years, she has been the CEO of Information Sciences Corporation.
Deb’s hobbies were entertaining, cooking new recipes, gardening, playing the piano, and she was an avid jigsaw puzzle enthusiast.
Deb will be remembered for her big heart, excellent planning skills, and business acumen.
A celebration of life will be arranged in the coming weeks.
