Obituary

Dianne Poston was born on April 21, 1948, in Newark, New Jersey, and passed away on March 26, 2026, in San Diego, California. She passed in her sleep due to complications from the flu.

Dianne worked in administrative roles, the food service industry, and home health care, bringing dedication and care to each role she held.

Her life was centered around her church and her family. She spent many years leading children’s Bible study, something she cared deeply about. She also enjoyed spending time with friends, shopping, and socializing.

Dianne was friendly and social, with strong opinions and a calm, cheerful presence. 

She was especially proud of her children and grandchildren. Her work mentoring youth groups and teaching Bible study was an important part of her life, and she would want to be remembered for the inspiration and guidance she gave to others.

She is survived by her son, Steven Poston (Lisa) of San Diego; her daughter, Michelle Clark of Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Jake Poston (Johanna) of San Diego, Ashlie Stuckey (Jack) of Indiana, and Shannon Poston of San Diego; her great-grandson, Ryley; and her brother, Ted Mathews (Eileen) of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Mathews, and her mother, Annie Mathews.

No services will be held at the request of the family.
