Donald Schreiner Jr., AKA Donnie, was born on January 29, 1954, in San Bernardino, California, and passed away on April 29, 2026, in Highland, California, due to lung cancer.

Donnie was a man who could do just about anything. A true handyman, he worked as a fixer, painter, and mechanic, known for his ability to repair whatever he got his hands on. He had a natural gift for connecting with people, a smooth talker who could strike up a conversation with anyone and turn it into something meaningful, or even a deal. As many would say, he could sell just about anything.

He enjoyed life on his own terms, with a love for the casino and working on his bike. Donnie carried a strong and unforgettable presence. He had a way of lighting up a room, often bringing laughter with his ability to not take himself too seriously. He was generous and kind, but also fiercely protective of those he loved. When it came to family, he stood firm and unwavering.

Known to many as a San Bernardino legend and icon, Donnie lived boldly and authentically. He embraced life as an outlaw in spirit, but above all, he was a devoted father and a proud grandfather. Being “Papa” was perhaps the role he cherished most.

He would want to be remembered as an outlaw, a father, and a Papa.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Joette Schreiner; his daughter, Amanda St. Andrews; his son, Donald Schreiner; his sister, Leilani Will; his brother, John Allen; and many loving grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Schreiner Sr., and his mother, Pearl Burnett.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
