Dorene McChristians was born in Santa Monica on October 12, 1938, and passed away on September 11, 2025, in Lake View Terrace after living with Alzheimer’s disease.
Her greatest passion was caring for her family. She enjoyed listening and dancing to Motown music, loved cleaning and gardening, and was a devoted dog lover. Dorene was outgoing and sociable, known for her strength and ability to overcome many obstacles in her life.
A dedicated housewife, she was proud of her successful marriage of more than 65 years and of raising two daughters.
Dorene is survived by her daughters Christina Brown and Annette McChristians; her grandchildren Stephaine Brown, Tyrone Brown, and Lisa Gillard; and her great-grandsons Lontae Martin and Laron Martin. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James McChristians.
Dorene will be remembered as a strong woman whose love and resilience will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
