Eleanor "Ellie" B. DeBeaulieu, age 78, of Santa Clarita, California, passed away peacefully at her home on April 20, 2026.

Born on August 15, 1947, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Ellie was the beloved daughter of John and Barbara Karas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant brother, John Jr, her brother, Frank Karas, and her beloved husband, Anthony DeBeaulieu.

Ellie is survived by her paternal cousins Gregory Boluch, Justine Johnson, Donald Karas, Stephanie Karas, Phyllis Reed, Patricia DeLuca, and her stepson, Dana DeBeaulieu, and his family.

Ellie devoted 32 years of her life to serving others as a registered nurse at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California. Throughout her career, she touched countless lives with her compassion, dedication, and care while also forming friendships with colleagues that lasted well beyond her retirement.

To know Ellie was to know someone who was genuine, fiercely loyal, and unapologetically herself. She possessed a wonderfully candid sense of humor and a refreshing honesty that could make people laugh, think, and occasionally squirm, but those who knew her best understood that everything she said came from a place of sincerity and a genuinely caring heart. She never pretended to be anyone other than herself, and that authenticity was one of the qualities people loved most about her.

Ellie embraced life with curiosity and a sense of adventure. She was an avid reader who continuously lost herself in a good book, and she loved traveling to experience new places and create lasting memories. She found joy in sharing meals with friends, attending live theater, taking cruises, and trying her luck at the casino.

Perhaps Ellie's greatest gift was the relationships she nurtured throughout her life. Family meant everything to her, but she also had a remarkable ability to turn friends into family. She built lifelong bonds rooted in trust, honesty, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. Those fortunate enough to know her understood that if Ellie cared about you, she was in your corner for life. Her friendship was a gift, and the love she shared extended far beyond bloodlines.

A Celebration of Ellie’s Life will be held on Sunday, October 4, at 12:00 p.m. in Valencia, California. A luncheon will immediately follow, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable life of a woman who brought so much laughter, honesty, friendship, and kindness to those who knew and loved her.

Although Ellie is no longer with us in body, the memories she created, the friendships she treasured, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
