Frederick Eugene “Rick” Eriven Sr., aged 54, passed away on April 29, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on July 11, 1971, in Gardena, California, Rick lived a life marked by resilience, faith, and a deep desire for connection.

Rick was the son of Jeanette Williams and the late Richard Eriven. He was also the grandson of Dorothy Mayes, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Misty Ollivere, and a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Rick was the father of Kelsie, Rikki, Daniel, Davonna, DeVonte, and John, and the grandfather of several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Frederick Eriven Jr., whose memory remained close to his heart.

Rick’s faith was central to who he was. Despite the many challenges he faced throughout his life, he held tightly to his belief in Jesus and praised Him with sincerity and gratitude. His relationship with God was personal, steady, and a source of comfort in every season.

Rick’s journey was not without hardship, but he carried a resilient spirit and a capacity for love that touched those who knew him. His memory lives on through his family and all who were part of his life.
