It is with great sadness that the family of George E. Landgraf announces his peaceful passing on January 14, 2026, at the age of 89, in Long Beach, California. Born on May 26, 1936, George was a lifelong resident of Long Beach and a devoted husband, uncle, and friend.

George graduated from Wilson High School in 1954 and enlisted in the Army. He later earned his BA degree in Philosophy from Long Beach State College. He worked as a firefighter, in sales, and for Los Angeles County as a civil servant.

He is known for his dry humor, quick wit, and overall gentlemanly behavior. He married his beloved wife, Raewyn, in 1981. They met in Santa Cruz, California, and together they shared a life filled with travel to New Zealand, Hawaii, Canada, and gatherings with family and friends.

George’s greatest joys were walking along the ocean, deep sea fishing, golf, and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife, Raewyn, and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of George’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army.
