Grant Curtis Ruff, age 68, passed away at home on January 17, 2026, in Hacienda Heights, California.

Grant was born on May 8, 1957, in Winnipeg, Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Ruff and Phyllis Ruff.

He is survived by his brother, Glenn Ruff; his children James Ruff (Michal), Lindsey Rennick (Charles), Nicholas Ruff, and Troy Ruff (Rebecca); and his beloved grandchildren Gabriel, Abbigail, and Madison Ruff, and Quentin and Arrah Rennick.

Grant took great pride in his children and grandchildren. He was also an avid animal lover, caring deeply for his dogs, cat, birds, and turtle, affectionately and humorously referring to his home as “his zoo.” He loved watching sports and was often found in the kitchen, where his specialty—cheesecake—became a favorite among neighbors, with whom he gladly shared it.

Above all, Grant loved the Lord and lived his faith openly. One of his most meaningful recent accomplishments was becoming a certified pastor, reflecting his deep commitment to God and to serving others. Those who knew him will remember his presence, his sense of humor, and the quiet ways he shared his faith.

Grant has gone home to be with the Lord and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
