Gregory Lawrence Krieter passed away on May 21, 2026, in Palos Verdes, California, at the age of 70. He passed quietly at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on February 17, 1956, in Lynwood, California, Greg was known as a quiet, kind, and private person. He enjoyed ocean fishing, wood carving, jewelry making, traveling, and was an excellent pool player.

Greg dedicated 30 years of his career to Union Tank Car Company, where he served as a Plant Manager. He was especially proud of becoming the youngest Plant Manager in the company's history. His work allowed him to travel throughout the country, and he particularly enjoyed his trips to Hawaii.

In the 1990s, Greg owned a boat and spent many enjoyable days making trips to Catalina and exploring the Southern California coast.

He is survived by the love of his life, Michelle McDonald; his sister, Georgina Rogers and her husband, Don; his brothers, Glen Krieter and his wife, Cheri, and Gilbert Krieter and his wife, Robin; his nephews, including Duane Krieter, Jesse Fulcher, Robert Rogers, and Allan Krieter; his nieces, including Theresa Davila, Amanda Jundt, Kristy Moeller, and Mistee Krieter; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Krieter; his mother, Lucille Rogers; and his sister, Gloria Soncrant.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
