Jacob Austin Mullins, 46, of Irving, Texas, passed away on May 18, 2026.

Born April 18, 1980, in Texas and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Jacob was an original thinker with a curious mind and a deep love for history, family roots, and meaningful conversation. He was known for his generosity, authenticity, humor, and fierce love for family and friends.

Over the years, Jacob worked in many fields, but found his greatest passion in caregiving for severely autistic individuals, where his patience, compassion, and unique spirit made a lasting impact on those in his care.

Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents Jim and Myrtle Mullins, Gary and Marge Kinzer; aunt Kathy; uncle Garin Kinzer; and nephew Jackson.

He is survived by his father Daniel (Sally) Mullins; mother Kelli Thomas; stepfather Larry Thomas; daughter Kierstyn; son Nova; sisters Madison (Jay) Roth, Amy (Ed) Ludwig, and Stacy (Dan) Vosik; brother Ryan (Miranda) Prybilla; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A celebration of Jacob’s life will be held June 20, 2026, from 12–3 p.m. at Heavy Brewing, 20333 Patton St., Gretna, NE 68028.
