Obituary

Our beloved mother passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, in Canyon Country, California. She was 90 years old.

Jane was born on April 30th, 1936, at The Lincoln Hospital in Los Angeles to Dale and Eula Auer and was raised in Van Nuys, CA. She excelled in dance and was a majorette on the drill team. She loved and grew up with her best friend, Peggy, an adorable Boston Terrier.

She was a talented artist, an oil painter, a seamstress, a potter, and loved crochet, needlepoint, as well as beaded jewelry.

She loved all animals. She raised fresh and salt water tropical fish, toy poodles, hamsters, ferrets, and exotic birds.

She would graduate from Van Nuys High School in 1954. This is where she would meet Carl M. Gordon, and he would become the love of her life. They were married in February of 1956 and raised three wonderful boys.

She would lose the love of her life in September of 2009 after 56 years of marriage. She was a mother of three, grandmother of ten, great-grandmother of twenty-eight, and great-great-grandmother of seven, and a dear friend to many. She had so much love for each and every one.

Her faith in God was her guiding light, and she planted seeds of love everywhere she went.

We will all miss her deeply.

The Memorial Service in celebration of her life will be held:
