Janie Lucille Mc Carty, 82 of Princton, Texas passed away on August 2, 2026 after a long battle of multiple health issue.

Janie grew up in LA county before meeting her husband Francis (Butch) McCarty. They married in 1961 and started a family in Rosemead, California.

Janie was a sweet soul. She had a giving heart with no limits.

She was creatively gifted with all things. She had a way of making everything special.
Janie was a homemaker, mother, and caregiver. Went to work later in life as a computer programmer, Title search clerk, and Bakery Associate.

Her most prized accomplishment was her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
After beating breast cancer, she was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure and began Dialysis treatment. She fought for the years she had with her family, until the doctors found Multiple Myeloma throughout her body. A disease that attacks the bone marrow. Knowing the treatment would be to much for her body to handle, Janie made the decision to end her suffering and seek out hospice care.

She spent her remaining days without pain surrounded by her family.

Janie is survived by her daughters Colleen Laughton and Cathleen Davis, her Grandson Jacob Coleman and granddaughters Alexandra Lewis and Harley Davis. Along with 6 great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Butch and her Grandson Randall “RJ”.

A celebration of life is scheduled for November 7, 2026 at The Ola Lutheran Cemetery Rual Chamberlain, South Dakota 57325.
