Jeanne Marie Salvaggio, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully entered eternal rest on August 12, 2026, at the age of 76.
Jeanne was born on July 13, 1950. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Todd Patrick, and her parents, Robert Dave and Mary Ann Hardee, who without a doubt were there to welcome her home.
Jeanne is survived by her loving family: her son, Brian Wayne Salvaggio, and daughter-in-law Jerrie; grandchildren Cameron Salvaggio, Karsyn Reyes and husband Angel; and her great-grandchildren Saylor Grace Salvaggio, Vivian Marie Reyes, and Roman Guadalupe Reyes. As well as six sisters, two brothers, and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and in-laws, all of whom she prayed for diligently.
Family was Jeanne's greatest joy in life. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a source of immense pride, love, and laughter. Everyone she met or spoke to would find out that Saylor Grace "would like to talk."
Jeanne had a unique gift for creating beauty from the simplest of materials. She spent countless hours making decorative balls, a craft she generously shared with family and friends. Her creativity also shone through in her marker art. Each piece of art was a reminder of her ability to bring colors to life and of her generous spirit.
Jeanne took joy in connecting with her loved ones. She would often reach out with a phone call to share a story (again), sing a hymn, read an inspirational quote, or recite a scripture. It often seemed that Jeanne had a sixth sense in knowing what one really needed to hear. Her faith was strong and she laughed easily at the silliest of stories.
Looking back at what most of us will remember about Jeanne is that if the phone rang at 7:00 am on a Saturday morning, you knew it was Jeanne. She could have made a fortune in telemarketing! We often laughed about it, but the calls were really never about her. She wanted to know what was going on in the lives of those she cared about.
Jeanne loved us all fiercely, even on the days that her mind wandered. She leaves behind a trail of sweet memories, many inside jokes, and a grateful family.
Jeannie was a kind soul. Her life was a beautify tapestry of family, love, creativity, courage, and faith. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
“May the Lord bless you and keep you; May the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
