Jody Arthur Knapp, born on January 3, 1959, passed away on March 22, 2026.

Jody had a remarkable ability to tell stories, make people laugh, and lend a helping hand. His presence brought warmth and comfort to everyone around him. He found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time fishing, trying his luck at the casino, and enjoying a good round of golf.

Jody is survived by his son, U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer Jason Knapp. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Lorrae Knapp, and his son, Jeremy Knapp. He also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren—Kellie, Terryn, Samantha, Julia, Katie.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A very short and informal Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM at 10115 Frontier Trail, Cherry Valley, CA 92223. Family and friends are invited to gather, share a beer, laughs and memories, and honor Jody’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform an act of kindness for a stranger in Jody’s memory.

Jody’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
