Joseph Milton Munkeby was born on November 9, 1960, in Los Angeles, California, and passed away on May 2, 2026, in Pasadena, California.
Joseph had a deep interest in space and technology. He was fascinated by NASA, SpaceX, rocket launches, and space in general. He also enjoyed computers, technology, and talking about AI. He had a particular love for old European cars, especially Saabs. An animal lover, Joseph also enjoyed flying planes, playing games, and watching movies.
Joseph was involved in computers and design and was known for his intelligence and technical abilities. He worked at Sony, where he developed several programs. Becoming a pilot was another accomplishment he was proud of.
Funny, smart, caring, and adventurous, Joseph was always learning or teaching. He was kind and willing to help the people around him. Above all, he would want to be remembered for his kindness.
Joseph is survived by his cousins, Max Hargis, Kathie Eszlinger, Victoria Brittian, Sylvia Schooley, and Bill Woodward.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton D. Munkeby and Betty Stover Munkeby.
Joseph will be remembered for his intelligence, adventurous spirit, love of technology and space, and most importantly, his kindness toward others.
