Judith Padin White was born on April 19, 1958, in Brooklyn, New York, and passed away on September 15, 2026, in Canoga Park, California.

Judith was known for her warm, bubbly personality and friendly nature. Though she was a private person, she deeply valued her relationships and made a sincere effort to stay connected with family and friends. Many will remember her inquisitive spirit and the thoughtful questions she often asked. Her curiosity stemmed from a genuine desire to understand others, build meaningful relationships, and relate to those around her.

Judith loved fashion and expressed it through her creativity. Whether it was a simple garment or an understated hat, she could transform it with a few carefully chosen additions into a one-of-a-kind piece that reflected her personality and flair. Judith also had a deep appreciation for art and history and was passionate about learning the stories behind people, places, and events. Conversations with her often revealed her remarkable knowledge of biblical & historical topics and her enthusiasm for sharing what she had learned. She also enjoyed period films and cherished spending time at the beach. Above all, her faith and service to Jehovah God were central to her life.

A proud graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, Judith built a career in the fashion and design industry. She placed great value on education and displayed remarkable courage as a young woman when she left her family in New York to pursue a new life in California. California became her home, and she loved it dearly.

Judith dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized on May 11, 1985.

She was also honored to serve as a pioneer for many years and treasured her association with the French-speaking congregation. Among the privileges she enjoyed was attending an International Convention in Prague, an experience she remembered fondly.

Although Judith did not have children of her own, she had a special affection for the young ones in her congregation. She enjoyed opening her home for field service meetings whenever possible and treasured spending time in the ministry alongside her friends.

Judith is survived by her sisters, Evelise Magnasco, Jody Gonzalez, Gloria Padin, and Olga Aponte; her brothers, Edgardo Aponte and Peter Padin; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Padin; her mother, Carmen Julie Aponte; and her brother, Nelson Aponte.

Judith’s family and friends recall a phrase she often said: “Oh Jehovah of armies.” These words, first spoken by Hannah during a time of deep emotional distress, held special meaning for Judith, particularly as she faced serious illness. The expression is found at 1 Samuel 1:11: “O Jehovah of armies, if you look upon the affliction of your servant and remember me.”

Judith will be remembered as a loving sister, devoted friend, and compassionate woman who valued understanding, connection, and friendship. Above all, she will be remembered as a faithful servant of Jehovah God whose faith, kindness, and love touched the lives of many.
