Judy Galli, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026 following a courageous year-long battle with cancer.

Born on July 4, 1959, in Lubbock, Texas, Judy was the eldest daughter of Richard and Nancy Alls. She graduated from Klein High School and later earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. Judy loved being an Aggie, and that pride remained with her throughout her life.

Judy loved her family and friends deeply and treasured the time she spent with those closest to her. She was especially proud of her nieces, Krista and Kara, and delighted in being a great-aunt to Ivy. Judy had a creative and compassionate spirit. She loved playing the piano, collecting art, working in her garden, and opening her heart and home to rescue dogs and stray animals. She had a special tenderness for animals in need and gave many of them the love and care they deserved.

During her illness, Judy made her home with her sister Jana and brother-in-law David, where she was surrounded by family, love, and care throughout her journey.

Judy’s faith in Christ was an important part of her life. After a long and difficult journey with cancer, her family takes comfort in knowing that her suffering has ended and that she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.

Judy is survived by her father, Richard Alls of Houston; her sister and brother-in-law, Jana and David Layman; her nieces, Krista and Kara Layman; and her great-niece, Ivy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Alls.

A private family memorial celebrating Judy’s life will be held at a later date.
