Julie Newman was born in Orange, California, and passed away in Huntington Beach, California. She was the daughter of William and Beatrice Smolenski and the sister of Bill and James Smolenski.

Julie proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the Philippines for four years. After her military service, she worked as a secretary at the University of California, Irvine.

She was passionate about rock music and believed in being a kind human being to people from all walks of life. Julie thought that smiling and staying in a good mood were important and she would talk to anyone at any time. She will be remembered as a giving person who was always willing to help others in need.

Julie is survived by her mother Beatrice and her brother James. She was preceded in death by her father William and her brother Bill

Julie’s open heart and friendly spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
