Larry passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 79 years old.

Born on October 6, 1946, in West Bend, Iowa, Larry lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved playing pool, shopping, watching baseball and football, and was always ready to celebrate and enjoy the company of those around him.

Larry worked throughout his life for companies including Prentice Trucking, Swift Transportation, and Swissport. During his time with Swift, he earned many medals and belt buckles, accomplishments of which he was very proud.

Known as a great conversationalist, Larry loved talking about sports, especially football and Caitlin Clark, as well as current events. He was someone who could talk with anyone and was simply an all-around great guy to be around. He would want to be remembered as a fun-loving, happy, and good-looking man who enjoyed life and the people in it.

Larry is survived by his wife, Rose; his sons, Brian and Larry Jr.; his daughter, Shonda; and his sister Deb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Doris Hough; his sister, Mary King; and his brother, Jack Hough.

Larry accepted Jesus as his Savior and passed peacefully, showing great bravery throughout his illness. His family takes comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with the many friends and family members who passed before him.

Larry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and his many friends.
