Laura Ann Hendricks was born on October 26, 1949, in Gainesville, Texas, to Ophelia and Eugene Jones. She passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, in Gainesville, Texas, with her beloved granddaughter Olivia by her side.

Laura spent her entire life in Gainesville, where she met and married Billy Don Hendricks. Together they built a loving family and welcomed two children, Natalie Elizabeth Hendricks and Quinton Deon Hendricks.

Laura worked for Weber Aircraft for more than 25 years before retiring in 2015. She was known for her strong work ethic and dedication, but her greatest joy in life was always her family. Becoming a grandmother and great-grandmother was one of her proudest accomplishments, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to those she loved.

She was the most magnificent mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Laura had the biggest heart and never met a stranger. She loved everyone she came in contact with and passed down her strength, kindness, and love to her family. She always had a smile on her face no matter the situation and was known as a chatty social butterfly who could brighten any room.

Laura loved music, cooking, movies, reading, and spending time with family. Christmas held a special place in her heart, and she enjoyed playing Christmas music at full volume all year long. Her faith in the Lord remained important throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughter Natalie Hendricks; her son Quinton Hendricks; her grandchildren Ava, Amaya, Arwen, Olivia, Averyana, Jae'Lyn, and Javaun; her great-grandchildren Ace and Khe'Lani; and many loving family members and friends who will cherish her memory forever.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Ophelia and Eugene Jones, and her brothers Paul, BB, and Jimmy.

As Natalie lovingly shared, “Mama was kind, caring, and loved her family. We were all very blessed to have her in our lives. Rest in Peace Mama… We love you.”

Laura will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM at St. James CME Church, 430 Throckmorton Street, Gainesville, Texas 76240.
