Obituary

Lesia M. Oliveira was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Palm Springs, California, on December 6, 2025.

Lesia lived life with a cheerful spirit and an open mind. She was social, welcoming, and easily made friends wherever she went. She loved traveling, enjoying good food and wine, listening to opera, and spending time coloring. These simple pleasures brought her great joy.

She worked as a live-in nanny and maid, dedicating herself to caring for others. Among her proudest accomplishments were raising her daughter as a single parent, learning English, and becoming a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Lesia wished to be remembered as a friend to all, a role she fulfilled effortlessly through her warmth and kindness.

She is survived by her daughter, two grandsons, one great-grandson, her youngest sister, and many friends around the world. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings except her youngest sister.

Lesia’s favorite flower was the carnation, her favorite color was blue, and she especially loved peaches, even though she was allergic. 

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
