Linda Dale Galloway was born on March 2, 1937, in Los Angeles, California, and passed away on May 6, 2026, in Sherman Oaks, California, due to pneumonia.
Linda lived a life filled with creativity, intelligence, humor, and deep connection with others. In her earlier years, she had a passion for acting, theater, ballet, and opera. After graduating from college and studying acting at Yale, she worked professionally as an actress in New York City before later returning to television acting after raising her children.
She also enjoyed spending time with friends playing poker and hearts, and in later years became an avid sports spectator. Linda found comfort and joy in rereading her favorite novels by J. D. Robb and Nora Roberts.
Those who knew Linda remember her as charming, generous, smart, and funny. She had a warm presence and formed lasting friendships throughout her life. Among her proudest accomplishments were her daughters and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was also deeply proud of her longstanding membership in AA and the meaningful friendships and support she found within that community.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Tracy Galloway and Jennifer Galloway; her son-in-law, Daniel Ediger; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Galloway, Daniel Brickell, and Caroline Galloway Ediger.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Dale Gardner; her father, screenwriter Kenneth “Casey” Robinson; her sister, Pamela Dale Robinson Locke; and her ex-husband, Donald Poe Galloway.
No memorial service will be held.
Linda will be remembered with love for her wit, kindness, resilience, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her.
