Marcus Eugene Hardison, lovingly known as “Jr.” by his brother, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Mukilteo at the age of 45.
Marcus was born on June 18, 1980, in Seattle. At the time of his passing, he was pursuing a business degree and working toward his dream of building a better future for himself and others. Marcus aspired to open a business and mechanic shop dedicated to helping low-income families obtain reliable vehicles and affordable repairs, a reflection of his generous and compassionate heart.
Marcus deeply loved his family and cherished every opportunity to grow closer with them. Above all else, he loved his son, Marqias, who was truly the light of his life. Marcus was incredibly proud of the young man his son was becoming and worked hard every day to be there for him and build a strong future together. Their relationship was filled with love, laughter, and a deep bond that meant everything to him. He treasured every moment spent with his son and always wanted Marqias to know how deeply loved he was.
He had a warm spirit and a wonderful sense of humor that could make anyone smile or laugh, even during difficult times. He was always ready for a new adventure and showed incredible determination whenever he set his mind to something.
He was also a talented artist and found joy in creativity and self-expression. Marcus loved spending Sundays watching the Seattle Seahawks with his brother-in-law. He enjoyed sharing laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories together with his friends and family. His favorite colors were red and black, a small reflection of his bold and vibrant personality.
Marcus will be remembered for his kindness, caring nature, and the way he loved with his whole heart. He was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He remained deeply grateful for the people who stood by him, cared for him, and supported him throughout his journey in life.
Marcus is survived by his son, Marqias; his siblings, Marci Hamman, Rhonda Larry, Ronnie Larry, and Rebekah Davis-Huff; his beloved aunts Mary and Maude; and his many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Larry; his father, Eugene Hardison; his aunt, Joann Buchanan; and many other beloved family members.
