Emilia Guerrero, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2025, at 9:59 p.m., surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.

Born in El Salvador, Emilia immigrated to the United States in 1974, bringing with her a spirit of hard work, quiet generosity, and an unwavering devotion to those around her. She spent many years serving the Cohen family of San Marino, California, where she helped raise four children, Jeffrey, Janis, Gary, and Ron, giving of herself with the same warmth and care she extended to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Emilia was, above all, a woman of the home. She found great joy in the kitchen, where she prepared the meals that became a centerpiece of family life, gathering loved ones around her table and nourishing them in every sense of the word. She was kind, thoughtful, and generous by nature, always looking for ways to help others, never asking for anything in return.

In 2016, Emilia underwent open-heart surgery and received a pacemaker the following year. It was during this period that her family began to notice the early signs of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, a condition that gradually dimmed her memory in her final years. Even as her recollections faded, she remained surrounded by the love of her family and continued to share meaningful moments with those closest to her until the end.

Emilia is survived by her three children: Lillian and husband Rafael, Mauricio, Marlene and her husband Kyle. She was a proud grandmother to Kevin, Nicole, Robert, Keira and a beloved great-grandmother to Sofia and Robert Jr., children of Robert.

She was a strong woman, a fighter, and a beautiful example of the resilience and grace of the Salvadoran spirit. Her quiet strength, her generous heart, and the warmth of her presence will be deeply missed and long remembered.

To the woman who gave so much of herself so that others could flourish, whose hands fed so many and whose heart held even more, may you finally rest in the peace and comfort you so richly deserved. You were loved beyond measure, and you will be carried in the hearts of your family every single day. Until we meet again, We love you Mami. 🤍
